Are there any measures in place to prevent brute force attacks on the password and recovery phrase (e.g., something like a waiting time after 10 wrong attempts)?

Your password is used to encrypt your private key. If your wallet data were to fall into the hands of a malicious third party, they could try to find your private key by using a brute force attack.

For that reason, you should make sure that you are using a strong password.

As for the possibility of an attacker finding your recovery phrase via brute force attack, please refer to this link for information on how unlikely this would be.
