Troubleshooting issues using Ledger
Your Ledger, Cardano app, and Yoroi Extension must all be updated to work properly.
- Update Ledger Live: https://support.ledger.com/article/4410960111889-zd
- Update Ledger firmware: https://support.ledger.com/article/360013349800-zd
- Update Cardano app: Install, uninstall and update apps
- "[emurgo.github.io wants to connect to an HID device]" popup: Click your Ledger device in the popup to highlight it, then click Connect.
- Ledger Live is running: close Ledger Live completely before using Yoroi. The applications conflict with each other.
- Ledger Nano X connected via USB: **disable **Bluetooth on the Nano X. Bluetooth interferes with USB connections.
- **Ledger displays "Waiting for commands": **press both buttons simultaneously on the Ledger, even if Yoroi shows no pending co.
- Incorrect device connected: if Yoroi shows "Incorrect device connected" (or similar), it means the hardware wallet instance doesn't match the original device ID registered with Yoroi. Remove the current copy in Settings > Wallet > Remove wallet and connect the new device.
