How to restore a wallet (Yoroi Mobile)?
Before You Begin
Make sure you have your 15- or 24-word recovery phrase ready. Do not enter hardware wallet recovery phrases into Yoroi — use the Connect hardware wallet option instead.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1:Launch Yoroi Mobile App
Tap Add Wallet to begin restoring a wallet.

Step 2: Select Restore Option
Choose Restore Yoroi existing wallet to recover a wallet created in Yoroi or another Cardano wallet.
Note: If you're using a Ledger, choose "Connect hardware wallet device" instead. Never enter your Ledger's recovery phrase in Yoroi.

Step 3: Select Recovery Phrase Type
All wallets created in Yoroi have 15-word phrases.
Other wallets (like Daedalus) may use 24-word phrases. Select the correct option for your case.

Step 4: Enter Recovery Phrase
Start typing each word—Yoroi will auto-suggest matching terms. Click on the correct word or finish typing to validate.
If unsure about spelling, use the BIP39 word list to verify it.

Once entered correctly, you’ll see "The recovery phrase is verified" message.

Note: If you see the message “Incorrect recovery phrase. Try again”, it means the recovery phrase you entered is not valid. This can happen if the phrase belongs to a different wallet or platform, or if it was saved incorrectly.
To restore your wallet, you must use the exact recovery phrase that was generated for it. Without the correct recovery phrase, wallet restoration is not possible.
Step 5: Set Wallet Details
Enter a wallet name and create a new password. These do not have to match the original ones.

Your wallet will now appear under My wallets. Tap to open it. Please allow a few moments for syncing to complete before using features like transactions or delegation.
