Yoroi & Midnight: How to claim NIGHT tokens

How to Claim Tokens in Yoroi


Great news: We have launched the Claim feature in Yoroi Extension. Now you can claim your Midnight allocation directly in your Yoroi wallet.


Important Notes: 

  • If you're currently using only the Yoroi mobile app, you'll need to install the browser extension and access your wallet there to participate in the token claim process.
  • If you have multiple eligible wallets, you will need to perform the same steps for each of the wallets. 


Let's walk you through the process of claiming your Midnight airdrop using the Yoroi wallet extension.


Step 1: Install and Set Up Yoroi Extension

If you don't already have the Yoroi browser extension installed and your wallet set up, please follow the guides below:

** If you already have the extension and the wallet restored, you can skip this step.



Step 2: Check Your Eligibility and Claim

Once your wallet is set up in Yoroi Extension, you can proceed with checking your eligibility and claiming your airdrop.


Access the Airdrop Section: You can check your eligibility in two ways:

Navigate to the "Airdrop" tab in the left-hand menu of your Yoroi wallet.

Or click the "CHECK ELIGIBILITY" button on the banner displayed on your wallet's main screen.


View Eligibility

If you are not eligible: A notice will appear stating that no eligible addresses were found in your wallet. You can change to another wallet that you have restored in Yoroi and check the eligibility on your other wallets the same way.

If you are eligible: You will see a screen displaying your allocation size, your destination address, and the Terms & Conditions.

Note: A wallet's eligibility is defined by the Midnight snapshot taken on June 11th, 2025. Yoroi does not control/manage the list of eligible users. If you have any concerns or questions about your eligibility, kindly check with Midnight team directly.


Claim Your Allocation:

  • Read the Terms & Conditions carefully.
  • Check the box to confirm that you have read and understood them.
  • Click the "CLAIM ALLOCATION" button.


Sign the Message:

  • A pop-up will appear asking you to sign a message.
  • Click "SIGN MESSAGE" to prove ownership of the address. You will need to enter the wallet's password or confirm on the Ledger device if your wallet is linked with a Ledger to Sign Message


Claim Confirmation: After successfully signing the message, you will see a confirmation screen with your claim details, including your allocation size and destination address. You have now successfully claimed your Midnight allocation.


Important Notes


You do not receive the tokens in your wallet at this stage, the stage in which you've finished claiming and seen your allocation size and destination address in your Yoroi wallet. 

There will be two other phases (Thaw, Redeem) that must be completed before you receive the token in your portfolio, so please follow up with Midnight's schedule here: https://www.midnight.gd/how-to-get-night#thaw.
