How to connect a Trezor hardware wallet to Yoroi?
Yoroi Extension lets you connect Trezor hardware wallets (Model T, Safe 3, or Safe 5) to securely manage your ADA.
Before you start
- Make sure you have the latest version of Yoroi. In principle, browser extensions are updated automatically but you can also update them manually in your browser's settings.
- Initialize your Trezor in Trezor Suite and ensure the firmware is up to date.
- Close any unnecessary browser extensions (ad blockers, VPNs, privacy tools) that might interfere.
How to connect
- Open Yoroi Extension and click Connect hardware wallet.
- Pick Trezor Hardware wallet.
- Follow the prerequisites shown, then click Next > Connect.
- You'll be redirected to connect.trezor.io—unlock your Trezor, confirm the connection, and allow Yoroi to export the public key.
- Return to Yoroi, optionally rename your wallet, then click Save.
- Your Trezor wallet now appears in the Dashboard.
Note: Connect your Trezor for all transactions except receiving funds.

Troubleshooting issues using Trezor
- Firmware check: Verify Trezor firmware and Yoroi Extension are latest versions.
- Interference: Disable VPNs, firewalls, antivirus, ad blockers, or privacy extensions temporarily.
- Passphrase: Ensure you're using the correct Trezor passphrase (if any).
- Trezor Bridge: Uninstall any standalone Trezor Bridge (deprecated)—it conflicts with modern connections.
- Trezor Suite: Keep Trezor Suite open in the background while using Yoroi.
