How to redeem NIGHT tokens in Yoroi (Midnight)

What is the NIGHT redemption feature?

The NIGHT redemption feature in Yoroi Mobile allows eligible users to participate in the Midnight claiming process during the redemption phase. It enables you to view eligible addresses, review claim details, and trigger the transaction that redeems your NIGHT tokens.

How do I access the redemption feature?

On Yoroi Mobile (from v7.0.1):

• Tap the Menu icon in the bottom navigation bar.
• Select Airdrop to open the NIGHT redemption feature.​
• You may also be prompted via an in-app notification if Yoroi detects that one or more addresses in your wallet are eligible for NIGHT redemption.

On Yoroi Extension (from v.5.20.0)**

• Tap the Airdrop icon on the left-side menu.

Viewing and managing eligible addresses

• When the feature is opened, Yoroi displays a list of eligible destination addresses found in the current wallet.
• Each address is shown as a card; tapping a card opens a detailed view with:
• • Information about the claim (such as allocation and status).
  • A button to trigger the redemption transaction for that address.
• You can also manually enter an address to check if it is eligible; if it is, the address is added to the list of eligible addresses for easier tracking and redemption. **This feature is avaialble on mobile only. **

How do I redeem NIGHT from an eligible address?

1. Tap the card for the eligible destination address.
2. The detailed view opens, showing key information about your claim, including eligibility details, NIGHT amount, and related metadata.
3. Tap the Redeem button to initiate the redemption transaction.
4. Follow the prompts to confirm and send the transaction from your wallet.

What is the thaw schedule and how can I view it?

The thaw schedule defines when your redeemed NIGHT tokens become accessible.

From the detailed view:

• Tap Thaw schedule to see a breakdown of the unlocking timeline.
• You can also schedule notifications to remind you when each thaw milestone occurs.
• On extension, the tahw schedule is on the same screen with everything.

How do I manage my thaw notifications (mobile)?

You can review or modify your scheduled thaw notifications in two ways:

• Directly from Settings: Go to the notification section to manage all active reminders.
• From the redemption flow: While viewing claim or thaw details, follow the on-screen options to update your notifications.

Can I check if another address is eligible?

Yes, but only on mobile. If you are using extension and want to use this feature, you will need to download our mobile app and restore your wallet there.

Within the NIGHT redemption screen:

1. Select the option to enter an address manually.
2. Input the address you want to verify.
3. If it’s eligible, Yoroi adds it to your list of eligible addresses for easy tracking and claiming.
