I get a "Unexpected error occurred. Please retry" error message in Yoroi (Ledger Troubleshooting).

Your hardware wallet, Cardano App, and Yoroi App should all be updated to properly function.


There may also be a few reasons you have trouble connecting your Ledger:


  1. You get an "emurgo.github.io wants to connect to an HID device" popup. In this case,  please click on your device on this popup to highlight it and then click "Connect".
  2. Ledger Live opened. Make sure Ledger Live isn't open when using Yoroi as both wallets interfere with each other.
  3. You're trying to connect your Ledger Nano X via a USB cable. You should disable Bluetooth as it will interfere and cause trouble connecting.
  4. If you see "Waiting for commands" on the Ledger, try pressing both buttons even if there are no commands in Yoroi yet.


If you still have problems connecting your Ledger, please share your logs with the team. You can find the file by going to Settings > Support/Log > Download logs.
