  • What is the Yoroi DApp Сonnector?
Yoroi’s DApp Connector provides a bridge for interactions between users and blockchain-based DApps on the CARDANO blockchain. With the connector, users are able to simply access such DApps and do so from their preferred web browser via a plugin. After enabling the DApp Connector, the user is able to participate in any activities that the DApp permits such as purchasing or selling tokens, gaining access to resources, or using other features offered by the DApp. Our DApp Connector creates a seamFew readers
  • About the collateral mechanism on Cardano
Collateral is a critical mechanism on Cardano designed to ensure the successful execution of smart contracts. It serves as a monetary guarantee that compensates nodes for their validation work, especially in cases where transaction execution fails. How does collateral work? Cardano uses a two-phase validation process: Phase 1: The transaction is checked for correctness and ability to cover fees. If it fails here, no scripts are run, the transaction is canceled, and the collateral reFew readers
  • What information is shared with other web pages?
The connector exposes a javascript interface to web pages you visit allowing DApps to request read-only access to a user's Yoroi wallet. If the user gives access to a DApp, the DApp can read, but not change, the user's balance and addresses. The DApp can also request that the user sign a transaction, such as a smart contract created using the address information supplied via this connector. Private keys/passwords are never exposed to DApps, and all transaction signing is done within Yoroi and onFew readers
  • Is Yoroi CIP-30 compatible?
Yes, the Yoroi Extension has full compatibility with CIP-30. Yoroi Wallet has implemented CIP-30 to increase compatibility with Cardano Web3 DApps and provide more options for Yoroi Wallet users to connect to Cardano DApp builders and vice versa. For DApps that have already integrated with other Cardano wallets, Yoroi’s CIP-30 compatibility now makes it easier to integrate with Yoroi. Note that it is now up to other platforms to support Yoroi. If you want to use a specific DApp with Yoroi, pleFew readers
  • DApps and HD wallets compatibility
When using certain DApps with HD (multi-address) wallets, balance discrepancies may occur that affect how balances are displayed. Here’s an explanation of why this happens: HD wallets are designed to generate and manage multiple addresses from a single seed phrase.  However, some DApps are not equipped to handle these multiple addresses properly. Instead, they only check the balance of the first address provided to them. As a result, the balance displayed within these DApps may be incorrect. TFew readers
  • How to disconnect my wallet from a DApp?
Here are the steps to disconnect your wallet from a DApp: Open Yoroi and navigate to the Connector page on the left-side panel. You will see a list of all connections between your wallet and different DApps. To disconnect, hover over the DApp you want to disconnect from. A trash bin icon will appear. Click on the icon to remove the connection. Your wallet is now disconnected from the selected DApp. Screenshot2023-03-30at12.24.41.png (https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/weFew readers
  • What are smart contracts?
The CARDANO blockchain and its native cryptocurrency ADA was designed to be a decentralized global operating system for a large number of users. It is consistently being developed by a team of collective experts with worldwide usage in mind as a third-generation blockchain platform rather than just another p2p (peer-to-peer) cryptocurrency. It features an open, programmable, and low-cost transaction platform to meet users’ needs for scalability, sustainability, and interoperability, while alsoFew readers
  • What is CIP-30?
A CIP or Cardano Improvement Proposal is a proposed solution to assist in the evolution of the Cardano ecosystem. It is intended to help improve Cardano’s technical development in a transparent manner. The CIP program was launched in 2019 by the Cardano Foundation to offer a collaborative way for the Cardano community to give feedback, propose solutions, and take on an active, engaging role in improving Cardano’s overall development. In an effort to make Cardano DApp development simpler, CIP-Few readers
