Yoroi Extension lets you connect Ledger hardware wallets (Nano S, Nano S+, Nano X ) to securely manage ADA while keeping private keys offline on your Ledger device

Before you start

Update Yoroi to the latest version.
Make sure your Ledger is up to date. To upgrade, you should update your firmware through Ledger Live first, then update the Cardano app.
Close Ledger Live completely—keep it closed during all Yoroi usage to avoid conflicts.
Open the Cardano app on your Ledger.

How to connect

On extension

Open Yoroi Extension and click Connect hardware wallet.
Pick Ledger Hardware wallet.
Follow the prerequisites shown, then click Next > Connect.
Choose your device. Use any option for S Plus.
If you see a popup "[emurgo.github.io wants to connect to an HID device]", click your Ledger device to highlight it, and click Connect
Follow on-screen instructions on both Ledger and Yoroi to export the public key.
Name your wallet and click Save.
Your Ledger wallet now appears in the Dashboard.

Open Yoroi Mobile and tap + Add wallet.

I have lost my password. How to reset it?

To reset your password, you'll need to restore your wallet using the recovery phrase. This will involve removing the current wallet instance. If you're unsure about your recovery phrase, we recommend testing it on a different browser or device first to confirm it's correct. Alternatively, you can begin the restoration process, and if you receive a message stating that the wallet is already restored, this indicates that the recovery phrase is correct.

Once you've verified that your recovery phrase is correct, go to Settings > Wallet > Remove wallet (if you're using the extension, scroll to the bottom of the page if you don't see the option.) Remove the current copy of the wallet from your device.

What is the NIGHT redemption feature?

The NIGHT redemption feature in Yoroi Mobile allows eligible users to participate in the Midnight claiming process during the redemption phase. It enables you to view eligible addresses, review claim details, and trigger the transaction that redeems your NIGHT tokens.

How do I access the redemption feature?

On Yoroi Mobile (from v7.0.1):

Tap the Menu icon in the bottom navigation bar.
Select Airdrop to open the NIGHT redemption feature.
You may also be prompted via an in-app notification if Yoroi detects that one or more addresses in your wallet are eligible for NIGHT redemption.

On Yoroi Extension (from v.5.20.0)*

Tap the Airdrop icon on the left-side menu.

Viewing and managing eligible addresses

When the feature is opened, Yoroi displays a list of eligible destination addresses found in the current wallet.
Each address is shown as a card; tapping a card opens a detailed view with:
- Information about the claim (such as allocation and status).
- A button to trigger the redemption transaction for that address.

First, make sure you download Yoroi only from official sources. Here are the links to extension stores for most browsers: Chrome (also for Brave and Opera), Edge.

This simple tutorial will go over the step-by-step process to add your Yoroi Wallet to Chrome. Here is the link to the Chrome Web Store.

When you open the store, select Add to Chrome and press Add Extension to the popup question.

Once downloaded, you'll see the Yoroi logo among your Chrome extensions on the top right. Click on it to open the wallet.

To make accessing your wallet easier, pin it to Chrome. Click the puzzle icon followed by the pin icon beside Yoroi Wallet.
